The Esplora microcontroller is a versatile board packed with prebuilt sensors and features, making it suitable for a wide range of projects beyond just gaming. Here are the key features and specifications:

  • Preprogrammed with a game-controller script but suitable for various applications
  • Incorporates sound, light, and temperature sensors, as well as a three-axis accelerometer
  • Built-in USB communication, appearing as a mouse or keyboard to a connected computer
  • ATmega32u4 microcontroller with 32 KB flash memory, 2.5 KB SRAM, and 1 KB EEPROM
  • Analog joystick, push-buttons, potentiometer slider, microphone, light sensor, temperature sensor, accelerometer, buzzer, and RGB LED onboard
  • Supports TinkerKit sensor and actuator modules
  • TFT display connector for optional LCD screen or SD card
