The ICSH044A ICSTATION Blackberry Trackball Breakout Board is a versatile module that allows you to add precise, multidirectional input to your projects, similar to a mouse or trackball interface. This module integrates Hall Effect sensors to detect movement and includes an integrated push-button switch for selection, along with RGB LEDs for customizable illumination.

  Features:  

  • Trackball Movement Detection: Utilizes Hall Effect sensors paired with tiny circular magnets on four spindles to detect up, down, left, and right movements.
  • Push-Button Switch: An SMD momentary switch under the trackball provides a selectable input by pulling the BTN line low when pressed.
  • RGB LEDs: Four LEDs (red, blue, green, and white) can be powered to illuminate the trackball in any color.
  • Sensitive Detection: The Hall Effect sensors are highly sensitive, with a slight roll of the trackball creating multiple high/low transitions on the axis pins. A full 360° rotation results in about nine high/low transitions on a single axis.
  • Easy Integration: All features are broken out to a 0.1€³ pitch header for easy connection to microcontrollers.

  Pin Description:
