This mechanical endstop uses a lever switch that, when activated, pulls the signal to LOW. It includes an LED that lights up when the switch is activated, making it easy to see its status. The switch connects via a standard 4-pin 100€³ pitch header and is compatible with standard, old-style CD-ROM audio connector cables.
The mechanical endstop is designed to simplify the process of detecting the stage's limits. Instead of using flags or complex light beam interruptions, this switch is placed in the path of the stage. When the stage moves against it, the switch closes. This approach does not require any modification to the stage and ensures reliable performance, with switches rated for one million operations.
