The SW-520D Vibration Sensor is a metal ball tilt switch designed to detect motion or orientation changes. Sealed in shrink tubing to prevent short circuits, this sensor features two conductive elements at one end. When the sensor is tilted so the leads point downwards, the metal ball inside rolls onto the poles, closing the switch and creating a simple throw switch effect. While not as precise as accelerometers, this tilt switch provides a straightforward way to detect movement or orientation changes.

  Key Features:

  • Simple Operation: Switch closes when leads are pointed downwards
  • High Contact Rating: Contact rating up to 12V and 30mA
